Hi!

My name is Lucy-Ann and I am Landscape Architect.

I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with First Class honours at undergraduate level in July 2020 and passed my Master’s degree with Merit in September 2021. I am currently working in a planning consultancy as a landscape architect.

The design and research projects I have completed focus on the health and well-being of users to create landscapes which promote positivity and the deep connection humanity has with nature. My postgraduate research focused on the role of public open space in a community-focused recovery from COVID-19.

My choice of course comes from my long-lasting love of nature, plants and art, as landscape architecture combines these with other elements to allow places to be designed to help people to appreciate nature and their time spent outdoors. I have always loved gardening and making things, in any shape or form!

In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering with Girlguiding by being part of the leadership team with a Rainbow and Brownie unit and I am currently working on my leadership qualification and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Guiding has always been a part of my life, giving me the opportunity to grow and try new things; I love being able to now give back to inspire girls. Being an Assistant Leader has strengthened both my written and verbal communication as well as my leadership and collaborative skills through working with other leaders in the planning and delivery of weekly meetings.

Through the University of Gloucestershire Students Union, I have also learnt British Sign Language to a Level 2 standard and enjoyed being part of the university trampolining team.
